Our initial experience was kinda positive. They we're very helpful, and very low priced. That's we're the magic ended. In the store they have black freezer burned meat? (Weird for a nursery) Frank sanatra impersonator, and it stinks like cat pee. We bought 14 arbs from them and half did not make the winter. Turns out after talking to a different local nursery that the root balls were way to small for the size of the plant. I called them and they did there was no warranty at all and they wouldn't give me any sort of deal if I wanted to replace the arbs that did not survive. After measuring the root balls I figured out that the seven that lived had root balls twice the size as the seven that died. Nature's nook was right. we got had.
Great deal on bushes, but the guy in the shop was hammered drunk ( and drinking while we were there ), and the store is a complete mess. Seems fairly shady. But at those prices I will be back.
This place is a hidden gem! Their service has gone above and beyond every time I've visited. A very knowledgeable, family business. They have high quality compost for $4.97 a bushel (two five gallon buckets worth.) You can check out their goats (often including cute young kids) and chickens/roosters in the rear area.
Mega Discount very much has the feel of a small, local discount nursery. The place is far from fancy. There's often only 1 employee available to help people. The goats, chickens, pigs, and other animals are kept nearby. It's not "clean" looking or modern. Many of the signs have terrible spelling errors. But at the end of the day, the staff is knowledgeable, the prices are great, and the products are good.
What's not to Love about this place, its owner is on site throughout the day trying his best to bring you the best quality he possibly can. His prices are very competitive, one can't argue the great prices, it had great staff very personable experience so one can't go wrong. Have been going here since 2010, it's 2016 and I'm still enjoying this place.
